- GOALs will have to submit quilters’ names and information about our 2011-2012 Guild Block Challenge to IMQA by March 16th so a description can be included in the MQS Show booklet. (Quilts are not due at this time.)
- Entries are made as a group and all quilts are turned in together before MQS. Along with the quilts, the guild must submit a poster, describing the 2011-2012 Guild Block Challenge, to be displayed with the quilts at the show.
- Sample quilts and patterns were shared and discussed as possible options for the challenges. A vote was taken to select a design. It was decided that all entries would be the same block, pieced with the same fabrics.
- LaVonne Dunnetts will draft a pattern similar to “Starry Night” Double Star block 24-30.
- Gigi and LaVonne will prepare kits and have them available at the January meeting.
- Finished quilts must be turned in at the May 3, 2012 GOALs meeting.
- MQS will take place May 16-19, 2012 at the Overland Park Convention Center, Overland Park, KS. Additional information is available at www.mqsshow.org
- 22 members have signed-up for the Guild Block Challenge
